DestSol Ships - Part 5: Add a station to your module, and make some custom projectiles for your weapons
Thanks to the work done during this year's GCI, DestSol now also supports custom stations per faction and adding projectiles in your modules.
As an extension of the previous task chain, this task expects the student to add a station to their module and make some custom projectiles for their weapons, both of which they made in the previous steps.
Definition of 'Done'
- Submit a PR adding a station (texture, icon and config) to your module, along with the stationConfig file for your station. Also include in the PR your custom projectiles.
- Attach a screenshot of your station and projectiles as proof of your work.
- Attach a screenshot of the collision mesh of the ship that you made in the editor of your choice (we recommend Box2D-Editor, but it's upto you)
Where to start
- Decide on the kind of faction you want (for reference, look at the existing federal and organic factions). This should help set up the theme for the textures and attributes of the ships and weapons you create.
