Prerequisites

• You must have uploaded a patch against operations/mediawiki-config repository.
• Install the X-Wikimedia-Debug browser extension (Chrome, Firefox). During deployment, you may need to connect to special debugging servers, which can be done via this extension.

Task

You already submitted a configuration change to Wikimedia Gerrit, which is awaiting deployment. Such deployments happen at certain times (the so-called "SWAT windows"), which occur three times a workday (except Friday).

Steps

1. Choose a SWAT window (EU Mid-Day SWAT, Morning SWAT or Evening SWAT)
2. Edit Deployments page at Wikitech and add your patch to the SWAT window of your choice.
3. Before the window started, join #wikimedia-operations IRC channel.
4. The deployer will guide you through the process.
