Introduction

Suppose you have set of captions lines from a few minutes of news broadcast. When a human reads these captions he can immediately tell which topic is being discussed or what is the context of the discussion. For example, "it's about US president elections" or "it is about Olympics" etc. How can a machine do this?

Task

We want you to do research and write a brief survey on how to summarize a a set of given caption lines to tell the topic. It is a well known problem and so we expect you to find a good algorithm. Submit your findings in either a Markdown or PDF File!
