Officially: Accessibility tools with a focus on subtitles. Unofficially: Everything is an excuse to learn new things! This year we're doing Rust, Flutter, FFmpeg internals and tensorflow.
The organization that brought to you CCExtractor which in turn brings the subtitles that make it possible for language students and hard of hearing people to enjoy media.
But we use that as an excuse to have fun and learn a lot new things: This year it's going to be Rust (a "new" language from Mozilla which is becoming really important for high speed tools), Tensorflow (a fundamental tool in artificial intelligence), Flutter (a fantastic framework for mobile application development), and FFmpeg (the best all around video tool, and we want to learn it inside out).
Of course we also welcome technical documentation writers, graphic designers, community managers (but not in the "spammy" sense) and more.
