Steps

• Identify the common questions mentees have when trying to find or approach mentors. You can do this through either searching online or talking with some of your peers.
• List down the main themes that emerge from this research. Some could be e.g. how do you know who's the right mentor for you? How to start the conversation when asking someone to be your mentor? how to open up to mentors? etc.
• Do some research online and read about what are some ways of dealing with those questions. You can read about other peoples experiences on what has helped them, how did they find their mentors, what helped them in opening up to them etc. You can also read about posts from people who have been mentors about how they like being approached, what they believe are appropriate ways of communicating when asking to be mentored, what suggestions do they have for mentees about opening up and talking about themselves, what they don't like etc.
• Summarize your findings and write a blog with your suggestions. Reference any sources that you used and got insights from. # Resources:
