Create a cron job to remove unverified users after a period of time (Backend)
Introduction
Users that have unverified emails should be removed by a cron job after a period of time.
Prerequisite:
- Have a GitHub account
- Know how to use git
- Setup and run the project on your local development environment
Steps:
- Create a copy of the project into your account GitHub by forking systers/mentorship-backend project.
- Clone the project onto your local development environment
- [Optional] Create a branch to make your changes
- Create a cron job (background scheduler) to remove users with the email not verified. Feel free to come up with a period of time you find convenient, this can be discussed after the contest.
- Hint: There is at least one background scheduler already created here
- Commit your change through the interface using our Commit message Style Guide.
- Submit a Pull Request, targeting
gci-dev
branch, following the template provided in the description.
