Problem

Flask can use message flushing for informing users about various things, such as they just logged in. In bootstrap, this is implemented as alerts. However, those alerts can't be dismissed - users should be given a way how to dismiss an alert when they read them.  

Proposed solution

Make the alert dismissable.   Student is expected to upload a patch against labs/tools/massmailer repository at Wikimedia Gerrit. Student should claim Phabricator task while claiming task at the GCI site.
