PSLab Luxmeter: Learn about Light Temperature using your Phone and Help Verify the App Functionality
The PSLab Luxmeter can be used with most phones built-in light sensor (Luxmeter). Your task is to make a simple experiment and measure the “temperature” of different light sources:
- A yellow bulb lamp
- A White Neon light
- Fire lighter
Simply provide your measurements as numbers shown in the app and upload screenshots of your measurements here. Please also explain in your own words, why there are different light temperatures.
REQUIREMENTS
- Android phone with a) Lux sensor and b) PSLab app installed
- Light sources: 1. A yellow bulb lamp, 2. A White Neon light, 3. Fire lighter
EXPECTED OUTCOME
- 3 Screenshots for each light source measurement with the PSLab app
- Write down here light sources and the corresponding measurement numbers
- A short explanation about different light temperatures observed and their differences
