Due to BookBrainz being in beta, some Works are not linked with their Author. Read the help page for a description of the entities.

This task requires some research. To complete the task:

• Find 3 already existing Works with no relationship to an Author
• Link each Work with its Author:
  • Click "edit" on an entity's page and click on the "Add relationship" button. A pop-up will open and let you search for the other entity and select a relationship type: "Work was written by Author" or "Author wrote Work"
• Verify all the information you can about the 3 Works and the 3 Authors: aliases / full name, dates, etc.
• For all the 3 Works and 3 Authors: search for the following identifiers and add the ones you find:
  • Identifiers for Authors:
    • MusicBrainz ID
    • VIAF
    • Wikidata ID
    • ISNI
    • LibraryThing author
    • OpenLibrary author
    • Goodreads author
  • Identifiers for Works:
    • LibraryThing Work
    • Wikidata ID
    • OpenLibrary Work
    • MusicBrainz Work
• Don't forget to save your changes when you are done! ("Submit" button at the bottom of the page).

There are duplicate entities in the database. In such a case, try to choose the entity with the best data: accuracy and amount of information, and number of relationships.

It's unlikely that the Author of a Work won't exist already, but if so you can create that Author. In the menu, select Add -> Author and follow the form, fill in everything you can. using web searches, Wikipedia… There are tooltips to help you, but if you are lost head to the help page.
