BookBrainz is a project that has been through a number of iterations by now, mostly led by various groups of MetaBrainz volunteers. MetaBrainz recently fully "adopted" the project and hired a developer to push BookBrainz to be more of what it was always supposed to be. In order for BookBrainz to reach as wide an audience as possible, we want to not do things that get us buried in relevant search results instead of showing up near the top. The best practices and techniques for getting good/better search rankings is called "search engine optimisation".

Your task is to investigate https://bookbrainz.org/ and come up with a number of things 1) we are doing okay/good at currently (and should continue doing), and 2) we really should be improving to better our rankings with search engines.
