OpenWISP
[website] Add a page with the public github activity of the OpenWISP organization on openwisp.org
Claim this task only if you have some basic web-design skills please.
We want to show the activity of our fantastic contributors and incredible GCI students on our website! Do you want to help us?
Something similar to the screenshot linked here.
You will have to use a mix of javascript, CSS and html.
- fetch the data from this Github API endpoint: https://api.github.com/orgs/openwisp/events.
- familiarize yourself with Semantic UI, the CSS framework used by our website (which was built by our GCI 2017 winner!)
- create a new page for the website which will show our public github activity
- ensure the look and feel is similar or equivalent to what's shown on github, in short: it has to look readable :-D
- ensure the code is clean and readable
If you have any other idea to improve the page and make it more useful, please suggest it :-)
Once ready, do the following:
- publish your proposed page online and send the link in your submission
- open a pull request at github.com/openwisp/OpenWISP-Website
If you see other students working on the same task do not worry. Your goal is to produce a good page and learn from the process.
