DRONECORIA task 1: The Liquid Galaxy is gonna help fight for the deforestation, help us capturing images of burnt forests
One of the projects we have under development is to help project DRONECORIA.org.
His goal is help people around the world in planting trees again where the fires have destroyed the forest. This is gonna be done with specially designed drones, seeds and all driven by software. Here we enter. For this DRONECORIA task 1 we need you to collect photos of burnt forest, as many as you can and with different levels of fire damage, from almost green to totally devastated areas.
How you can do this? We imagine at least two ways:
- The easy one is go Google Photos and start saving photos to a local folder.
- Also easy can be searching the web for specialized web sites that can have this information, and downloading those images.
Always be careful with the ownership of the photos, and do not use copyrighted images.
How many photos? As much as you can! Minimum is 150.
We need you to send all the photos you collect via a shared Google Drive folder to our lgcodein@gmail.com, next to a short text file describing where do you get those images and the way you did it. Also publish this text here in the dashboard and press submit button for a mentor review of your task.
Thanks for collaborating with DRONECORIA and look forward for other tasks for this.
FYI: DRONECORIA will use the Liquid Galaxy as visualization tool for the controlling of the burnt areas and also for commanding the drone fleet that will plant the trees.
