We recently added the possibility to store information about ensembles to MusicBrainz. As such, now we want to add some ensembles in as much detail as possible, and one that requires a fair bit of research to be added is the Indonesian traditional ensemble known as gamelan.

For this task, you should create a "Sub-task" ticket (see below) for each instrument in the gamelan ensemble. Some (possibly all, but you should find out!) are described in the English Wikipedia page for the gamelan, but not in enough detail, so you will have to do more research. Make sure to follow our guide to instruments and research each one to find enough information to add to the tickets.

Each individual task should follow the general suggestions in both "Research information for an open MusicBrainz instrument addition request" and "Research an instrument not already in MusicBrainz" tasks.

For adding sub-tasks, make sure you're on the ticket for the gamelan, and then click "More" -> "Create sub-task".

Once you have added all the tickets with all the info you could find, leave a comment on the task letting us know. Make sure the tickets are linked as sub-tasks of the gamelan one, otherwise we won't be able to find them! If you accidentally added some of them without setting them as sub-tasks, link to them in your comment so we can fix it.
