This task will help you get set up for other GCI tasks with BRL-CAD. It's a 10-step checklist of things to do. Pay attention, there's a quiz at the end. ;-)

1. read this contributor's guide to BRL-CAD: http://write.flossmanuals.net/contributors-guide-to-brl-cad/
2. browse all sections of the BRL-CAD website at http://brlcad.org especially the Docs section (it's a wiki)
3. go to http://beta.brlcad.org scroll to the bottom and subscribe to our (read-only) brlcad-news mailing list 4a. download and install Zulip, join the #Google Code-In channel on brlcad.zulipchat.com 4b. alternatively or if you want, join #brlcad on irc.freenode.net using an IRC client (see http://brlcad.org/wiki/IRC)
4. browse BRL-CAD's current tasks (more get added throughout GCI), find a favorite
5. say hello on zulip or irc, and tell us your favorite (e.g., "Hi I'm Jane, participating in GCI. The Appleseed project tasks sound really interesting."
6. browse our Sourceforge project pages at https://sourceforge.net/projects/brlcad/
7. check out our Facebook page (images especially) at http://fb.me/brlcad

Quiz questions:

• A. BRL-CAD is correctly pronounced as "[WHAT]"?
