Run the Lubuntu upgrade tests and report your results
The ISO tracker records all our results from manual test runs for Lubuntu which we use to ensure the overall quality of our installation images.
Your task is to complete the Lubuntu Upgrade testsuite for i386 or amd64. To do this, you will need an install of a non-LTS release— Artful Aardvark (17.10)— to do the "Upgrade" tests and an LTS release— Xenial Xerus (16.04)— to do the "Upgrade LTS" tests. You can get these from the Lubuntu downloads page. HINT: install in a virtual machine, take a snapshot, upgrade, then revert the snapshot and upgrade again to keep from having to install twice.
Use the walkthrough to learn how the process of reporting on these tests works. Don't forget to file any bugs you find and look out for known bugs.
A completed submission will include the following:
- A link to your Launchpad profile.
- A link to the testsuites where you reported your result (example). That page should have a "passed" or "failed" result from you for each row of the table. Make sure those results include bugs you filed.
- A screenshot of one of the upgraded systems showing
head /etc/apt/sources.listandlsb_release -a.
