Ubuntu

Read the How-to tutorial

Welcome! This is the first task anyone willing to contribute to Ubuntu tutorials should go through:

  1. Join the #ubuntu-google IRC channel on Freenode
  2. Say hi to the Documentation team! (evilnick, degville, pmatulis and davidcalle are your mentors for tutorials tasks)
  3. Read the How-to tutorial and pay special attention to page 8 to see how the site can be built on your own machine.
  4. Try to build the site!
  5. When you are done, let us know if everything went fine
  6. Pick a more advanced task, such as suggesting a new tutorial, going through the "Snap a website with Electron" tutorial, fixing a content issue, or even writing your own tutorial on a topic you think will be useful to the community!

In addition to teaching you how the site works, you will learn how tutorials are created and get a good sense of the writing guidelines you should try to follow.

To submit this task, you need to provide a screenshot of the site built on your own machine, running in your web browser. Make sure the address bar is in the screenshot!
