Kiwix mobile app on Android: Warn users when opening external content
Kiwix is an offline reader for Web content. One of its main purposes is to make Wikipedia available offline. Read https://github.com/kiwix/kiwix-android/wiki/Google-Code-in to learn how to contribute.
With concerns about customer's mobile data costs, they might not know that this opens an external page and will cost them MBs/$$$ as the switch between the Kiwix "browser" and the Web browser happens smoothly.
It might be good if there was a popup that indicated that they would be opening a Web browser and that this
will not work if they're offline, will cost them data if they are online. To improve the situation Kiwix should:
Offer an on/off setting to warn if the users leaves Kiwix to open an online link. Activated per default. If the setting in "on" display a popup to warn them that this goes online. This popup should also provide a "do not ask anymore option" which will then turn the settings to "off".
