Prepare Help:VisualEditor/User guide/Links on mediawiki.org for translations

https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Help:VisualEditor/User_guide/Links has been finalized and now requires some work to be marked for translation.

To do so, the page have to be marked for translation using a particular markup. That markup will "slice" the page into translation blocks that can be translated separately.

How to

The page don't require more edits on the content itself, so the task is only about adding Mediawiki translation markup. The task is not about doing the translation.

See Help:Editing for how to edit a wiki page. For that task you will also need to read Help:Extension:Translate and how to mark a page for translation first. You can translate one of those pages (or check existing translations) to see how the system works, but that's not counted as part of the current task.

Other information

Make sure that you edit the page and edit it under your Wikimedia wiki account - create an account if you do not have one yet. When done, you can use the sandbox to do all necessary tests.

When marking a page for translation, the markup has to be reviewed by a translation admin to be available to all users. Mentors for that task are translation admins on Mediawiki.org.
