BookBrainz is a project to gather information about all of the books (and other written works) in the world. To make this happen, we're creating an online database which anyone can add to at https://bookbrainz.org.

Gathering data about books is really important for us. So in this task, we'd like you to enter as much information as you can about five authors (called "creators" in BookBrainz) that aren't already in the database (please search before adding!)

Here is how to do the task, in 6 simple steps:

1. Head to https://bookbrainz.org and click the "Sign Up / Register" button to make a new BookBrainz account, creating a new MusicBrainz account if you don't have one.
2. Log in to your new BookBrainz account and click the "Create" drop-down in the top-right of the homepage, and then click "Create Creator".
3. Fill in the as much information as you can about the author of the first book, enter a revision note telling us where you got your information, and finally submit your edit.
4. Add one or two works written by the author - to do this, use the "Create Work" link under the "Create" dropdown.
5. Repeat for the other four authors.
6. Write about the task on GCI, giving links to the creators and works you've added, and writing a couple of sentences on what could be made better about the sign up and editing processes.
