Install and run MusicBrainz server in standalone mode
If you know how to open a command line interface/terminal this task shouldn't cause you much duress. It's advisable to use a Linux OS for this task, as MusicBrainz server hasn't been tested on Windows or Mac and isn't supported on those platforms. It involves visiting the MusicBrainz server source code repository on GitHub, checking out the latest stable code, installing dependencies and setting up a PostgreSQL database, and then starting the site and having a look at it in a browser. To do so, follow the instructions in the INSTALL.md file, then take a screenshot, and submit it to us along with a descriptive feedback of the whole process (steps duration, shortcomings, good points if any…) for final review.
Note: This task will likely be fairly straightforward to complete, but it does take some time for some of the commands required to run. Plan for lots of waiting time and don't expect to be done in an hour.
System requirements: Linux (in a VM or on its own) and 20+ GB of free disk space.
