BookBrainz is a project to gather information about all of the books (and other written works) in the world. To make this happen, we're creating an online database which anyone can add to at https://bookbrainz.org.

This task is designed to help get you started with BookBrainz. In it, you'll sign up for an account and create BookBrainz entities for one of your favorite books. The first entity, a "Creator", is for the author of the book. The second, a "Work", will be for the book itself.

Here is how to do the task, in 8 simple steps:

1. Go to https://bookbrainz.org and click the "Sign Up / Register" button in the top-right.
2. Follow the steps on the form, creating a new MusicBrainz account if you don't have one.
3. Log in to your new BookBrainz account.
4. Pick your favorite book and look for it using the search box on the homepage. If it already exists in BookBrainz, try again with a different book.
5. When you've picked a book which isn't already in BookBrainz, click the "Create" drop-down in the top-right of the homepage, and then click "Create Creator".
6. Fill in as much information as you can find out about the author of the book you picked, enter a revision note and then submit.
7. Finally, using the same "Create" dropdown, click "Create Work". Once again, enter as much information as you can about the book, and submit.
8. On the GCI site, give the URLs of the creator and work you've added, and write a couple of sentences on what could be made better about the sign up and editing processes.
