Scan a booklet and upload it to the Cover Art Archive

The Cover Art Archive (CAA) is a joint venture between the Internet Archive and MetaBrainz to provide cover art (front and back covers, but also booklets and other images when possible) for as many musical releases as we can.

For this task, choose a release from your collection, your family's collection, or even from the local library and find it in MusicBrainz. A CD is probably the easiest, but if you have a vinyl record, or a cassette, that works too! You must also have access to a scanner.

You must make sure that you find exactly the right release in MusicBrainz, as very often albums (in MusicBrainz known as "Release Groups") will be re-released with small variations, in different markets (US, Japan, EU), or later on (e.g., "20th anniversary" re-releases) and these are different MusicBrainz Releases. Sometimes a release will have the exact same label, barcode, front cover, but have for example a tiny difference on the CD or vinyl itself or the text on the back cover. That is still a different release in MusicBrainz!

If you can't find any release that MusicBrainz already knows about, consider doing a release-adding task like Add a Release to MusicBrainz or Add a Classical Release first.

Scan every part of the release and its booklet, and upload the scans to the Cover Art Archive.

Note: For this task, you must be the one scanning the release. Don't copy the images from elsewhere on the internet.

To complete this task, provide a link to the release you uploaded cover art for.
