YouTube video about how to make backgrounds transparent
Create a screencast video from your phone with spoken explanations in your mother tongue, in which you explain how to erase (= make transparent) the background of Looks from photos and from images downloaded from the Web using Pocket Paint from within Pocket Code.
In particular, explain how to use Pocket Paint’s Cursor, Crop, Fill, Eraser, Zoom, and Rectangle/Square (this latter one is not obvious, but using two step can be used to erase large areas) tools, possibly in combination, to make a background transparent. Also explain how to use the color tolerance of the Fill tool setting to achieve better results when areas that in principle would be single colored, in fact contain colored pixels that are in slightly different colors, e.g., due to antialiasing effects. Explain how to proceed when the foreground object contains holes through which the background should be visible, e.g., text where some letters such as “b” contain holes, and how to change individual pixels (zoom to maximum and reduce pen width to 1 to turn anti-aliasing off)
In your video, also show and explain why this is an important skill for using the foreground figure or object in your games, and show an example of a look of an object where the background was first erased with the methods explained in your video, and how the look then was used in a Catrobat program created with Pocket Code.
Turn on touch visualization in your phone's developer options. Use your mother tongue but add English language captions.
