Your task is to write a so-called recipe that is used to automatically build a package from the source code of a given open source program. The target for this one is up to you. Pick a possible target app from this list and let us know which one you plan on working on: https://github.com/haikuports/haikuports/wiki/GoogleCodeInIdeas2016

Please bear in mind that the list in that wiki might not be up-to-date, so you should always refer to the HaikuPorts tree and to the list of "Create a recipe for ..." tasks.

Therefore, before you claim this task for writing a new recipe, please make sure that the recipe you chose does not already have its own task. If that's the case then you should claim that task, instead of this one.

As programs have recipes written for them we will remove them as potential target from the list. No duplicate recipes for the same program will be accepted.~~

If you complete this task, and would like to do more of this type let a mentor know and we can create another copy of this task.
