Blog A: Create a blog and write a blog entry about your interests and participation in the FOSSASIA community

1) Objective

Create a blog and write a blog post on what participating in the FOSSASIA community means to you and what projects you are interested in. You can use wordpress or set up your own blog on GitHub Pages. The student should be able write a well formatted and grammatically correct article with at least 750 words, images, and links. Please also ensure you include a link to FOSSASIA.

2) Requirements

  • Set up a blog and write a new blog article
  • Add different sections and include links to interesting articles or projects
  • Add a relevant image of you (e.g. in front of a PC with Open Source software application running or with a mobile phone that has an Open Source OS)
  • Add a link to FOSSASIA at http://fossasia.org
  • Announce the article on Twitter, FaceBook or another social network
  • Star at least 3 repositories of FOSSASIA on GitHub indicating your interest
  • Include your post in the GCI website with a screenshot and link

3) Expected outcome:

  • blog article with relevant links and images
  • link and mention of FOSSASIA
  • mention 3 FOSSASIA software projects you are interested in and star the repositories
  • Post a message about your task at FOSSASIA Google Code-In on Twitter (Weibo or another service) e.g. "Wrote about #OpenSource and #FOSSASIA #GCI today. Check out http://link-to-blog-article @fossasia @hpdang @mariobehling"
  • Please ensure you only claim one task per blog post done
