Overview

We are working hard to welcome new contributors to our project, and this task is both a good grounding in creating and submitting a pull request following this suggested workflow:

...but also a great way for us to make newcomers more aware that we're interested in their contributions.

Objective

http://www.firsttimersonly.com/ has a great badge for projects to advertise that they're friendly to first-timers. It'd be great to add this to our README, right next to our "build passing" badge, linking to our new first-timers landing page (https://github.com/publiclab/plots2/projects/2)

Requirements

• Knowledge of git and github
• Interest in Ruby (as our project is in Ruby on Rails)

Expected Outcome

• Create a Pull request incorporating this feature
• Tweet about the outcome e.g. something like "Added friendly firsttimers badge to @publiclab project during @fossasia #GCI"
