OBJECTIVE

In the Open Event repository we have some sample files that help us to test the apps of the project. Your task is to learn about the structure of the files and create or improve the sample files using former FOSSASIA events substantially. You can get the schedule and speaker information on the websites. Then simply follow the structure of the sample files and upload your file of a former FOSSASIA summit to the repository through a pull request.

REQUIREMENTS

• Understanding of sample files here
• Fork the repository
• Create or improve an Open Event JSON set substantially and add speaker images, then make a pull request
• Also zip your file and test it with the Open Event Web App
• Announce your work on your blog (if you have one)
• Tweet about your task on Twitter, Weibo or other tweet like channel, e.g. something similar to “Created an #OpenEvent sample file for #FOSSASIA during #GCI @fossasia @hpdang @mariobehling @eventyay” and post about your task on Facebook or other social media, providing a link to FOSSASIA
• star the repository on GitHub

EXPECTED OUTCOME

• added a new event - sample JSON set with images
• tweeted and other social media message posts and starred repository
• generated test site on web app generator
