This has been in our to-do for some time and for some reason we never got to it. So we're assuming it's difficult, and because it's difficult we want to make it clear that fixing this bug will count lots when the time comes for us to make decisions :-)

You can see all details in the github page but here's the initial description:

Using the usual "01-BBC1.London.News.ts" [note: this is just a file in the repository] and comparing with playback via VLC (which is perfect) I can see that out timing is off and we have a number of issues.

First, in .srt 1 00:00:00,001 --> 00:00:00,000 Where am I? Where am I?! Where am I?!

The first problem is obvious, with the end time being before the start time for that time.
