CCExtractor can take a video file with subtitles and generate a .srt file correctly things like capitalization, so if the original subtitles come with ALL CAPS CCExtractor can correct that. However, if you have a .srt file with all caps (instead of the original video file the subtitles came from) CCExtractor won't help: It cannot take a .srt file as an input and generate a corrected one as an output. So the task here is to produce an external program, which you can write from scratch in any language you like, that can do basic operations in existing files.
