The English-language wikipedia page on Apertium currently lacks the following items:

• This year's participation in GCI ;),
• A separate section (or sections) that overview(s) how Apertium works and the technologies that it uses (beyond the current short statement currently there), and
• ~Recently released stable language pairs.

Your task is to incorporate these items into the English wikipedia page. Alternatively, you may write or update another language's wikipedia page about Apertium to include the content currently mentioned in the English wikipedia page as well as the information above. Please include references to academic papers or Apertium documentation as appropriate.
