Stutter-Aid - Research on improved audio latency in Android

Stutter Aid is an android project where it's aim is to help people who stutter by Delayed Auditory Feedback. The current android app is written with Android ndk to handle audio feedback. The problem with android is the noticeable amount of audio delay in recording and playback. Also the app behaves differently in different mobile brands and android versions. Do a research study on improving real time audio feedback for android and a method to test the audio feedback delay for mobiles and write small case study. Research on papers and publications and articles that are published online and state them with references. Please follow the appropriate standards when writing.

If possible try to measure audio feedback delays for the "Stutter-Android" app for 3 different mobile brands and models and report your findings (not mandatory).
