The only requirement is to be creative and keep a consistent style. Make it interesting! As always, the design must be completely original. No copyright issues (including for images). Submit your design as a Drupal theme (https://www.drupal.org/theming) along with a screenshot preview. It'll be great if you can also submit a very brief write-up on your design style.
