The app PecoRename is a nice little tool to rename a bunch of files. It's available from HaikuDepot, give it a try.

First issue to fix:

• Use a BColumnListView for the file list instead of that weird BButton construction.

There'll be follow-up tasks for other issues, like using layout managment.
