The app PecoRename is a nice little tool to rename a bunch of files. It's available from HaikuDepot, give it a try.

Issue to fix:

• Remove the limit of characters when for example inserting text "at position 0 from the front (left)"

If you find more bugs, follow-up tasks can be created.
